James Hendricks is an American Abstract artist. James Hendricks was born in Little Rock, Arkansas in the year 1938. Hendricks earned a B.F.A. from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. The artist went on to post graduate studies earning a M.F.A. from the University of Iowa.
The artist often draws inspiration and ideas for design from space and the universe.
Hendricks has taught at the collegiate level at the University of Massachusetts located at Amhearst.

What a great style of abstract art. To me, his works represent the building blocks of the universe, the creation and destruction of matter represented in single image of a moment in time. His work is fun to look at because it includes so many different applications of paint including brushwork, sgraffito, drips, and spatters.
