Ji Yong-Ho is a contemporary sculptor who uses rubber tires as his medium of choice to create fascinating works of humans and strange creatures. Ji Yong- Ho was born in the year 1978.

The artist earned a B.F.A. from Hongik University in Seoul, South Korea. Ji Yong-Ho attended New York University for his post graduate studies where he earned a M.F.A. degree.

His unique sculptures consist of strips of tires that are held together by resin on a base of wood, steel, or styrofoam. The artist hand cuts each strip of tire.

Price range information: Most sculptures range from $20,000 to $50,000.

The artist often creates mythical creatures in his work. He has also created fantastic works of more common animals including zebras, sharks, and cats.

Works range from two to ten feet in height.
