Rico Worl is a Tlingit and Athabascan artist and entrepreneur that is bringing traditional First Nation’s art to new outlets that include skateboards and playing cards.

The artist attended the University of Pennsylvania.

Worl founded the Trickster Company, named after a Raven. Raven’s are very symbolic in First Nation’s art. The company is based out of Juneau, Alaska.

When asked about what inspired him to become a professional the artist replied that he never intended to become a professional artist, he just made art and everything else fell into place. The artist looks to the masters and also to his grandmothers drawing for ideas.

Worl thinks that you should learn all the rules from a master of design, before you learn how to break them! What a great concept!
