Erwin Olaf Springveld is a Contemporary Dutch photographer and filmmaker. Erwin Olaf was born in Hilversum, the Netherlands in the year 1959.
The artist often likes to pose questions about current social issues and taboos. This makes sense as Olaf spent his collegiate career studying journalism at School of Journalism in Utrecht, the Netherlands.
Olaf made his breakthrough in 1988 when he won a prestigious award for young European photographers.
