Today in the United States we celebrate one of the world’s champions of peace, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

This work which appeared in Montgomery, Alabama during the spring of 2015, features a Native American item, the dreamcatcher. Some rumors have the painter being Banksy or a local artist nicknamed R.C.:


The march of Dr. King from Selma, Alabama to Montgomery, Alabama was captured on camera by a photographer who was a student at the time, Stephen Somerstein. In this clip we view many of the iconic images taken by Somerstein:
