Fung Ming-Chip is a contemporary artist who specializes in abstraction and also the use of text. Fung Ming-Chip was born in Guangdong, China in the year 1951.

Fung Ming-Chip over his career has worked with the five basic Chinese scripts. The artist went on to develop his own languages.

Fung Ming-Chip grew up in Hong Kong. The artist is a painter, calligraphy, novelist, carver, and poet. The artist has even worked with the designer Hermes to develop a tableware line that included his text.
