Gwenda Morgan was a wonderful British printmaker and engraver. Gwenda Morgan was born Petworth, West Sussex, England in the year 1908.
The artist attended Goldsmith’s College of Art located in London. Morgan also attended the Grosvenor School of Art located in Pimlico, a suburb of London, England.
Morgan served her country as a “Land Girl” during World War Two. These women were sought out to replace the farming men that had been called out to fight in the war effort.
Morgan showed her work at the Royal Academy.
The artist is part of the permanent collections of the British Museum and the Victoria and Albert Museum located in London.
Gwenda Morgan passed away in 1991.
