Marc Newson is a contemporary industrial designer. Marc Newson was born in Sydney, Australia in the year 1963. A few items that he has helped to design include aircraft, bicycles, furniture, jewelry, cameras, apparel, and writing instruments.
The artist attended the Sydney College of Fine Arts. Whilst there he studied jewelry and sculpture.

One design of chair called the Lockheed Lounge. The chair is composed of fiberglass and aluminum and was produced in a series of 15. In April of 2015 the chair sold at auction for $3.7 million dollars. This is now the new record for a living designer at auction.
In 2014 Marc Newson joined one of the largest companies in the world, Apple Incorporated.
