Ronnie Landfield is a contemporary abstract painter. Ronnie Landfield was born in the Bronx, New York in the year 1947.
Landfield had an interesting collegiate career. He began college at the Kansas City Institute of Art and the San Francisco Art Institute. The artist studied briefly at each institution before deciding to return to New York.Landfield also studied at the Art Student’s League of New York City.

Landfield’s style often reminds me of the landscape, or an image you may see underwater. With his softer edge style the viewer is witness to the varieties of color that happen when you lightly layer paint. Another key aspect to his work is the size and vastness of it.
