Arnold Mesches is an American artist renown for his paintings of the face and figure. Arnold Mesches was born in the Bronx, New York in the year 1923.

Mesches attended college in Los Angeles, California. He relocated to the West Coast in 1943.

The F.B.I. thought he was a Communist and kept a file on the artist. This was due to the fact he used newspaper clippings, hand written notes, and text in some of his artwork.

Mesches has had a wonderful life and career spanning many decades. I enjoy the collage and time capsule feel of his work.
