Ben Tre is a fantastic artist from Vietnam who creates intricate works of art using egg shells. The artist uses a dentist’s drill to carve them. Tre then places an LED light inside the shell to give the work a luminosity.
In this clip a few works by Ben Tre:
Tre began carving the eggs in 2012. He usually creates portraits or landscapes. The artist also creates larger sculpture works. These are my favorite works of his, due to their wonderful fantastic design.
The eggs are not treated with any chemicals or preservatives to strengthen the shell.

What a great medium to use! I think the fragility of egg art makes them even more fascinating. Although not quite a Faberge egg, Ben Tre’s egg art is just as fascinating!
