Jim Bachor is a true “street” artist! He creates mosaic installations that cover up potholes in the street! Bachor has created a large body of public artwork around the city of Chicago, Illinois.

Bachor earned a bachelor’s degree in graphics design from the Center for Creative Studies located in Detroit, Michigan.

Below a link to a map of Chicago that shows where interested parties can view his artwork. The artist has created his own works in addition to fulfilling public commissions:

To create his works Bachor uses pieces of colored marble and glass.

In this clip a brief documentary about the artist:

What a great style of street art. As the artist states, nearly everyone will agree that anything is an improvement over a pothole. The style of Jim Bachor reminds me of the contemporary street artist from France, Invader.
