Jerome Chifumi is a contemporary street artist who often paints hands. Jerome Chifumi was born in France.
Below a link to the website of the artist:
Chifumi has traveled the globe creating his art. He does a great deal of research about the local culture before visiting. Once there he does drawings which capture the local essence of his surroundings. When traveling to India Chifumi likes to concentrate on traditional dances.
The artist is based out of Cambodia.
With his subject matter of hands the Jerome Chifumi reminds me of one of the first American street artists, Martin Wong. Wong developed his own visual language using hands and sign language. Below a link to my article on Martin Wong:
Hands are a great idea to easily communicate ideas, they are just technically difficult for most artists to draw at a high level.
