Korakrit Arunanondchai is a contemporary visual artist. Korakrit Arunanondchai was born in Bangkok, Thailand in the year 1986. The artist works as a painter, photographer, video artist, and performance artist.

Arunanondchai attended the Rhode Island School of Design where he graduated with a B.F.A. The artist went on to earn a M.F.A. from Columbia University located in New York City.

The artist was first inspired by a contemporary work he saw whilst in high school by Olafur Eliasson at the Tate Modern.

The artist began his artistic career as a singing artist. His band was regionally popular in Thailand, but failed to catch major attention so he turned to the visual arts after giving up on his singing career.

Arunanondchai’s grandfather was the Ambassador from Thailand to the United States.
