Manoucher Yektai is a contemporary painter from Iran whose work contains elements of realism and abstraction. Manoucher Yektai was born in Tehran, Iran in the year 1921.

Although he is associated with the Abstract Expressionist School of New York, the artist often included elements of still life paintings in his early work ,and the figure in his later works.

Yektai studied at Tehran University. He also studied briefly at the Ecole des Beaux Arts in Paris, France. In addition he studied with Andre Lhote and at the Art Student’s League of New York

The artist was part of the Abstract Expressionist movement in the United States.
