Paul Laffoley was an American painter and architect. Paul Laffoley was born in Cambridge, Massachusetts in the year 1935. The artist was part of the Visionary movement. Laffoley often combined text and imagery to explain his philosophies on the cosmos and the universe.
Laffoley earned a B.A. from Brown University. Laffoley went on to study architecture at Harvard and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
The artist also attended the Art Student’s League of New York City.
When Laffoley moved from New York he was recruited by Andy Warhol to watch television for him through out the night.

Paul Laffoley passed away in November of 2015 from congestive heart failure. Laffoley was 80 years old.

What a unique style Laffoley created. The artist worked in very large formats in order to include the text and imagery that made up his works. His works have a great design, but are also a very deep in meaning from an intellectual standpoint.
