Blinky Palermo was a German abstract painter and printmaker. Blinky Palermo was born in Leipzig, Germany in the year 1943. He and his twin were adopted as infants.
His government name was Peter Schwarze.
Blinky Palermo passed away in the year 1977. The cause is unknown and mysterious. The artist was known to experiment with drugs. He died whilst on vacation in the Maldives.
The artist’s twin brother Michael is the sole owner of the copyright of Blinky Palermo’s work.

Palermo used many painting surfaces including aluminum, steel, wood, paper, and Formica. Palermo was just as varied in the materials he used including oils, acrylics, fabric, and tape. The artist was an avid printmaker as well.

The artist started using the name Blinky Palermo in reference an American mafiosi named Frank “Blinky” Palermo. Frank Palermo was known as a mafia fixer of boxing fights who was an associate of the Philadelphia Crime family.
