William Noah is a contemporary Inuit printmaker renown his work with the figure and landscape. William Noah was born near Back River, Nunavut Territory, Canada in the year 1943. William Noah was the youngest child of Jessie Oonark.
Noah was 14 years old when his family moved to Baker Lake.
Noah began drawing in 1963. The artist began to explore the medium of printmaking beginning in 1971. Noah has recently explored digital printmaking. Noah took a coarse in 2001 on how to draw with Corel software.

I really enjoy his work of animals and sunsets. Also interesting was the Inuksuk, the Inuit made landmark on the viewers right of the artist. This one was very large and worthy of a museum show and here it was just out in the wilderness.
