Terry Winters is an American abstract painter and printmaker. Terry Winters was born in Brooklyn, New York in the year 1949. Winters earned a B.F.A. from the Pratt Institute located in New York City.
Price range information: Winters is an avid printmaker working with color lithographs and etchings priced between $5,000 and $20,000. Original oils priced between $20,000 to $150,000.
After finishing college the artist continue to paint and study art, but did not show his work publicly. During this time he experimented and tried to find his own style. One change Winters made was to develop and produce his own pigments.
In the late 1970’s the artist explored painting the landscape.

I enjoy the spontaneous look and feel Winters exhibits in his work. The viewer gets the feeling of looking through a kaleidoscope where a whole image is broken down to individual broken shapes of pure color.
