Doug Binder is a contemporary painter and sculptor. Doug Binder was born in Bradford, United Kingdom in the year 1941.

The artist is considered by many to the father of psychedelic art. Binder completed a large amount of work for the music groups The Kinks and The Beatles.

Binder attended the Bradford College of Art. This was followed by studies at the Royal College of Art.

The artist now works with the human figure with an emphasis on colour.

Binder is from the same city as famed British painter David Hockney.

Doug Binder is a great painter with a wide variety of styles. His current figurative work captures the mood of his subjects, rather than just an academic study. The Beatles also enjoyed his work not only using it for record albums, but Paul McCartney commissioned the artist to paint his Knight piano.
