Tom Friedman is a contemporary sculptor renown for his mixed media works. Tom Friedman was born in Saint Louis, Missouri in the year 1965.
Friedman attended Washington University located in Saint Louis where he earned a B.F.A. The artist went on to earn a M.F.A. in sculpture from the Univeristy of Chicago at Illinois.
The artist is based out of Northampton, Massachusetts.

Price range information: Friedman has worked with many mediums including photography, ink, painting, collage, cardboard, and wood. Prices range from $10,000 to $875,000.
For his conceptual sculptures Friedman has used pencils, toothpicks, sugar cubes, bubble gum, packing peanuts, and dental floss. When using these materials he will use them to design a basic geometric shape.
The artist was given his first solo exhibition in 1991.
Friedman has been awarded grants from the Joan Mitchell Foundation and the Louis Comfort Tiffany Foundation.
