Couweberg finds inspiration for his work through one his mentors, the great Karl Benjamin. Benjamin served as a mentor to Couwenberg.

I have never seen the work of this artist in person, but Couwenberg’s style reminds me of the artist Rex Ray. Ray’s works was often a combination of painting, collage, and resin. Couwenberg often also uses acrylic paint and resin in much of his work.
