Hueman is an American contemporary street artist who often portrays the human face and figure. Her style is a great mix of absraction and realism.
Hueman attended the University of California at Los Angeles where she earned a B.F.A. in design and media arts.
One of Hueman’s best known paintings is a very large commissioned portrait of Kobe Bryant. The portrait is part of the Nike collection.
The artist is based out of Oakland, California.
Hueman once created a mural that had one side measuring 90 feet in length.

I find the work of Hueman reminds me of Andy Warhol and his silkscreen process. Before Warhol nearly every artist who worked in the medium put down the photographic image first and added color later. Both Warhol and Hueman lay down flat large blocks of color first and add the image afterward.
