Wojciech Fangor was a Polish painter, sculptor, and graphic designer. Wojciech Fangor was born in Warsaw, Poland in the year 1922.
The artist began as a social realist painter before developing his signature abstract style based on geometric shapes.
Fangor attended the Academy of Fine Arts located in Warsaw, Poland. The artist would return to be an associate professor.

The artist was a founder of the Polish School of Posters. This group of artists used hand lettering, vibrant colors, and a strong sense of graphic design in developing their work.
In 2014 Fangor designed murals for the major subway line of Warsaw.
Wojciech Fangor passed away in 2015. He was 92 years of age.
