Pruitt has often worked with very unique concepts. One work titled “Cocaine” had to do with the cocaine’s affect on spiders. The cocaine caused the spiders to lose the symmetry often found in their work.

The artist also did a work titled Cocaine Buffett. This work included a 16 foot long real line of cocaine that visitors were encouraged to try. This got the artist a great deal of publicity.

Pruitt has created a larger than life sized statue of the Pop artist Andy Warhol. This statue is located close to the location of Warhol’s factory from the 1970’s and 1980’s. Below a closer look at this project:
Rob Pruitt’s style is very contemporary. The artist does a great job at questioning societies stereotypes. The artist’s work has always been a subject of controversy, much like Andy Warhol. I find Pruitt’s work to be just as contemporary as Warhol’s films or use of silver.
