Albert Watson is a contemporary photographer from Scotland renown for his fashion industry work often shot in black and white. Albert Watson was born in Edinburgh, Scotland in the year 1942.

Watson attended the Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art located in Dundee, Scotland. He finished his schooling at the Royal College of Art located in London, England.

In 1976 Watson relocated to New York City and began work for Vogue magazine.  He also has shot more than 40 cover images for the Rolling Stone magazine.

The artist has been blind in one eye since he was born.

Watson has also done a great deal of work in the genre of celebrity portraiture.
