Richard Smith was a British painter and printmaker with an abstract and minimalist style. Richard Smith was born in Letchworth, Hefferdshire, England in the year 1931.

Smith attended the Saint Albans School of Art. He also attended the prestigious Royal College of Art located in London.

The artist also served his country in the Royal  Air Force.

Price range information: Smith worked in oils, acrylics, watercolor, gouache, and pastel. He was also an avid printmaker. Prices range from $5,000 to $50,000.
