Shigeo Fukuda was a graphic designer, sculptor, and poster artist. Shigeo Fukuda was born in Tokyo, Japan in the year 1932. His family was a manufacturer of children’s toys.

Fukuda attended the Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music.

The artist was renown for his eye catching poster designs which often included an optical illusion made from text.
