Nathan Carter is an American contemporary painter and sculptor. Nathan Carter was born in Dallas, Texas in the year 1970.

The artist creates works using acrylics and mixed media. Carter creates both two dimensional  and three dimensional works. Carter uses plexiglass, wood, and wire to create his sculptures. These works are similar to the mobiles of Alexander Calder.

Two important themes of the artist are technology and communication.

Carter earned a B.F.A. from the School of the Museum of Fine Arts located in Boston, Massachusetts. Carter went on to earn a M.F.A. from Yale University.
