Gregory Crewdson is an American photographer. Gregory Crewdson was born in a suburb of Brooklyn, New York in the year 1962. The artist is renown for his images of the contemporary American home, lifestyle, and culture.

Crewdson is also an accomplished musician. Crewdson was part of a punk rock group called the Speedies that was very successful in the New York City region. Eventually one of their songs was even used by the Hewlett Packard company to help sell their digital line.

The artist earned a B.A. from the State University of New York at Purchase. Crewdson went on to earn a M.F.A. from Yale School of Art in New Haven, Connecticut.

Crewdson has also taught at the collegiate level at Vassar, Yale, and Cooper Union College.
