In this clip a brief interview with Wendell Castle:

Wendell Castle passed away just a few days ago, January 20th 2018. He was 85 years of age. He had been battling leukemia.

Works by Castle can be found in many prestigious collections including the Art Institute of Chicago, the Brooklyn Museum, and the Boston Museum of Fine Arts.

Wendell Castle was a designer of ultra modern furniture. The line work on his chairs makes them a work of art. I went on my first furniture exhibition a few years back and was blown away by the chair designs of the famed Ron Arad, and also other industrial designers who even made chairs using a 3-D printer.
