I find the work of Leon Tarasewicz reminds me of contemporary landscape artist Wolf Kahn. Kahn often works with pastels and he also does a great job of capturing abstract patterns that occur in nature with trees being a main subject matter.
My favorite photographer that finds the abstract patterns of nature is Andy Goldsworthy.
