Lucio Ranucci is a contemporary painter renown for his work with the face and figure. Lucio Ranucci was born in Italy in the year 1925. Both of the artist’s parents were doctors.
Ranucci is associated with the Cubist style of painting.
The artist was also a journalist and interviewed leaders including Fidel Castro and Che Guevara. Whilst in Latin America Ranucci also worked in the theater.
Ranucci spend nearly 15 years exploring various parts of Latin America. The artist spent time in Argentina, Peru, Ecuador, Columbia, and Costa Rica.
The artist moved back to Europe in the early 1960’s. He settled in Saint-Paul de Vence, France.

Lucio Ranucci is a contemporary artist and surely one of few painters still working in a Cubist style. I love the boldness that Ranucci has taken in depicting the eyes. The artist also does a great job at painting emotion using the poses of the figures.
