This is an amazing new animated film about the life of Vincent Van Gogh. Although the movie is animated its not done in the traditional sense. The animation was done not by using digital technology and computers, but rather by more than 60,000 individual oil paintings.
To produce the art necessary to make the film used 125 specially trained individual artists to make the paintings used in the film.
Below a behind the scenes look at the creation of the movie:
The movie took more than six years to produce. The movie features 12 paintings per second.
