Charles “Chaz” Bojorquez is a contemporary street artist and printmaker. Chaz Bojorquez was born in Los Angeles, California in the yea 1949. Bojorquez is sometimes referred to as the Godfather of Graffiti.
The artist has been inspired by the beautiful Latino street art he saw as a child. Bojorquez often uses text in his work. He also enjoys working with skulls.
Bojorquez attended the Chouinard Art School located in Los Angeles. He also studied Asian calligraphy with a master artist.

Chaz Bojorquez has been around for the entire movement of graffiti from the streets to the museums and art galleries. He has a great style of lettering and design. Its easy to imagine his style on silkscreened t-shirts from decades ago. Another artist with a similar style would be Mike Giant.
