Minjung Kim is a contemporary painter from Korea. Minjung Kim was born in Gwangju, Republic of Korea in the year 1962. Kim tries to capture chi, or qi for those who love playing Scrabble, the energy force of life.
Kim studied with renown watercolorist Yeongkun Kang. She also studied the art of calligrahy. The artist attended college at Hong Ik University located in Seoul, South Korea before graduating from the Brera Academy located in Milan, Italy.

Minjung Kim is a wonderful painter. She has mastered the craft of painting with ink on paper. Kim has a talent for creating unique organic shapes that appear many times, only changed slightly. Her work reminds me of Andy Warhol’s early hand printed works.
