Hugo Crosthwaite is a contemporary painter from Mexico. Hugo Crosthwaite was born in Tijuana, Mexico in the year 1971.

Crosthwaite began college at Southwestern College located in Chula Vista, California. He went to earn a B.F.A. from San Diego State University.

Hugo Crosthwaite is a great example of portraiture in a simple form. With his medium of ink and ink washes, the artist’s work is always making a statement. His work reminds me of modern street artists such as Swoon from the U.S.A. and from Brazil, Os Gemeos.
