I enjoy looking at the work of Jasper Johns because his work has elements of other masters of design that I admire. His flag paintings remind of Rothko’s works.
The way he incorporates text and numbers in his paintings reminds me of modern street and graffiti artists. His works that show a target remind of painter Ken Noland.
